- by car: The town can be reached from Budapest in ca. 1,5 hours by car on highway M3
- by bus: buses start from Budapest from „Népstadion” station to Eger bus station every day at the following times:
5:45; 5:55; 6:25; 7:15; 8:00; 9:15; 10:15; 11:00; 12:30; 14:15; 14:45; 15:15; 16:15; 17:15; 17:45; 18:30; 19:15; 20:45
The trip takes approx. 2 hour 20 min.

- by organised shuttle bus: the bus start from Budapest on 30th March during the afternoon (exact time and meeting point depend on the arrivals).
For the way back from Eger to Budapest the shuttle start on 10th April during the morning.
